Even though I'm not a fan of short stories, the title to this one caught my eye and the description of the stories appealed, so I picked it up. The stories were not bad at all (they all had been previously published) and the writing was good, but the they were SHORT! One (the one I was most looking forward to, unfortunately) was ONE PARAGRAPH long! Granted, it does take a great deal of writing skill to condense an idea into one paragraph, and leave the reader thinking of all the possibilities the quick situation-sketch could open up, but I still felt a bit shortchanged. The longest story was only about 3 pages on my DX, and was IMO, the weakest of the four.Verdict - if you like short stories, this may be your cup of tea, but I prefer mine a little 'meatier'.

As one review stated, it takes a lot of skill to write a story in just a few paragraphs. It surprised me that the stories were that short.
My favorite story was the shortest one in the book. For me, I don't have much time to read anything these days, but such a quick read was satisfying to me and delightful. I wish I could find more quick reads like this for a commuter and busy day as I have. I do enjoy wonderful Science Fiction/Fantasy...everything, so this was quite an unexpected twist in the genre for me. Fanciful is what I would call it, and an enjoyable read.
It might be too short for some people, but if you want something to read between commercial breaks, and still feel satisfied and have a smile on your face just thinking about what you just read, then this would be for you.

These four to five page stories are very enjoyable. Ive thouroughly enjoyed both this and the first book. Give it a read, odds are good you will like it.
I find these mini anthologies just the right size for bedtime reading. A few of the stories have made me search for longer ones from individual authors.
Entertaining enough but nothing really special (I did particularly like the story 'Hellhound Rescue'). Being free it's worth a download and quick (very quick) read. I don't think I'll be buying the others, though.
Delightfully Twisted Tales # 2
Collection of a few short stories with no theme.
I picked up this book free during an giveaway. I can't believe anyone has the nerve to charge for these few pointless "stories." Short stories, like other fiction, should have a plot and at least minimal character development. In a lot of ways, a good short story is harder to write than a novel because of its limited length. These are just purposeless ramblings, nothing "delightfully twisted" at all.
All four stories together will take about ten minutes to read. The shortest Hellhound Rescue about twenty seconds. None are very good. But if you're still interested I have written a sentence to tell outline what each story is about. Anymore and I would be giving away what happens.
With Good Intentions
A minion of hell is getting sick of all beauracracy, red tape and bean counting that is affecting his job.

I had previously downloaded another of Drayden's collections, I don't know if I'll bother reading it. There's plenty of free/cheap short stories on , most of them are good, don't be put off if this is one of your first unknown author short story experiences. Most will be good.
